Quick summary

Google Cloud Next 2026 returns to Las Vegas. What developers and founders should expect: Vertex AI, Gemini, GCP roadmap, and how to follow keynotes and sessions online.

Google Cloud Next is Google's flagship enterprise and developer event. In 2026 it runs April 22–24 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Here is what to expect and how to follow it.

What Is Google Cloud Next?

Next brings together GCP customers, partners, and developers. Keynotes cover Google Cloud strategy, infrastructure, data and AI (including Vertex AI and Gemini), Workspace, and security. Breakout sessions dive into architecture, migrations, and hands-on labs. If you build or operate on GCP, or use Google's AI APIs, Next sets the tone for the year.

What to Watch in 2026

Vertex AI and Gemini — Expect updates on model choice, tuning, grounding, and agent frameworks. Google typically announces new models and API features around Next. Watch for enterprise controls, compliance, and pricing.

Infrastructure and data — BigQuery, Spanner, and data pipelines usually get feature and performance updates. Multi-cloud and hybrid messaging may be emphasised.

Developer experience — SDKs, CLI, and integration with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD. Serverless (Cloud Run, Functions) and container workflows are perennials.

Security and sovereignty — Zero trust, confidential computing, and regional/data-residency options for regulated industries.

How to Follow

In-person registration is paid. Keynotes and many sessions are streamed free on the event site and YouTube. Session replays are typically available shortly after. Follow Google Cloud Blog and Google Cloud on X/Twitter for announcements and links. If you cannot attend, blocking April 22–24 for keynotes and a few breakouts will keep you aligned with GCP and Google AI roadmaps for 2026.
